High Cheekbones: How to Tell and Maintain?

Stand in front of the mirror, and start to wrinkle up your nose, then smile, hands index finger gently to push your cheek muscles upward. Hold this position for 20 seconds, then relax, do this in sets of 10 repetitions, repeating for 4 sets.

2. O-Shape Exercise

Open your mouth and shape an 'O', then gently stretch your head by raising it. Hold this position for 15-20 seconds, then relax. Try to do it in 10 repetitions a set, repeated in 3 sets.

3. Fish Face

Gently tuck your cheeks inward by hands to form a fish face, then try to while maintaining this position. Hold for at least 30 seconds. 10 repetitions/set, and repeat for 3 sets.

4. Press Cheekbones

Press your fingers gently on both cheekbones in a circular motion for better blood circulation in the face, then smile to make the cheek muscles lift upward. Hold this position for 10-15 seconds before relaxing. 5 repetitions per set, doing 5 sets a day.

5. Resistance Yoga

Raise your head, to make your face toward the ceiling, pout your lips as if you’re kissing the ceiling, maintaining this position for about 20 seconds, and then relax. 15repetitons a set, 4 sets a day.

6. Tongue to Nose Smile

Relax your jaw, and touch the tongue to the outer edges of your upper front teeth, causing your jaw to protrude forward. Gently stretch your tongue towards your nose, holding for 10-15 seconds before relaxing. Try to do it 10 repetitions per set, 3 sets a day.

All the exercise time can be extended and repeated in more sets as your facial muscles get stronger.


High cheekbones are a desirable facial feature but that does not mean low cheekbones cannot be sculpted into high cheekbones by face yoga exercises. Maintaining or enhancing the exercises requires consistent care and attention.
